Amerisafe FROI Trainee-- Workers Comp First Report in DeRidder, Louisiana

The First Report of Injury Technician Trainee will work in a call center environment providing expedient and courteous service to insured employers, injured workers, or other authorized individuals reporting job related accidents and injuries. A Trainee will achieve training goals to demonstrate proficiency in all areas of FROI utilizing required reference material, forms and software including: claim setup and assignment, statutory reporting, quality assurance, claims data maintenance and electronic data interchange. This position reports to the FROI Team Leader.

The successful individual in this key role will be responsible for:
Verifying coverage and necessary endorsements on workers’ compensation, general liability, and assigned risk policies
Establish a first report of injury (FROI) with proper coding
Provide first-fill form for prescriptions to the insured or injured worker
Generate professional communications-- form letters, memos, bulletins, and FROI notices to the insured, injured worker and email groups in a concise and professional manner
Monitor team tickles, team email boxes, and mail queues and perform necessary actions to maintain claims data integrity or forward non-FROI documents/requests to appropriate parties
Perform quality assurance of reported workers’ compensation claims
Maintain current references and guides, including phone log, assignment criteria, statutory reporting requirements, FROI online manual, state agency web sites, and implementation guides
Deliver excellent customer service to customers and associates
Provide assistance to team members as needed to ensure team goals and objectives are met
Maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with company policy
Reliability and dependability are key to this position
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
High school diploma or GED required, advanced education a plus
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Customer service experience is highly preferred, call center experience a plus
World class customer experience attitude
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and basic computer proficiency
Accurate typing and data entry
Strong planning and organizational skills
Commitment to the mission and success of AMERISAFE
