This is a temporary position of undetermined length. Job Description: The Senior Computer Network Technologist I (Sr. CNT I) will be a member of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team that provides the secured management and administration of the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Enterprise Network. This position will work closely with the Sr. Network Administrator supporting the JRTC enterprise Networking infrastructure. The enterprise consists of technologies, to include, but not limited to, the fiber IP Backbone infrastructure, Ethernet technologies, VOIP, Video Teleconference, TCP/IP, VLAN, ACL, Firewall technologies, multicast, and other routing/routed protocols. The Sr. CNT I will assist in solutions to technical problems and contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks to support the JRTC rotational exercise and other connectivity requirements. Participates in aspects of major network installations, configurations, projects, information assurance, and upgrades. Required Skills Qualifications: Active Secret Clearance Required. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Ability to work closely with others and to work independently with little to no supervision. Must be willing work after hours and on weekends as required (first, second, or third shifts 1-3 years related experience in information technology and support. Will be required to comply with all Company and OSHA safety standards and wear/use required PPE as applicable. Required Education: Bachelor degree in a related field highly desired. 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. IAT Level II Requirements must be met in accordance with DoD 8570.01-m (i.e. Security+ce). Desired Skills Experience with LAN/WAN routing/routed protocols (i.e. OSPF) Experience with LAN switching (PVST+, STP, 802.1q trunking, VLAN) Familiarity TCP/IP troubleshooting and addressing. Familiarity in cryptographic devices, Multicast, QoS, VoIP, routing, and switching CCNA/CCNP certification a plus Highly self-motivated and directed Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Knowledge of network management applications (i.e. Solarwinds Orion) Test, validate and implement DISA STIG standards and ensure Network STIG compliance.
