Responsibilities
  • Serves as the Supervisor of the IT Branch, supervising a team of specialists performing Systems Administration and the delivery of Information Technology.
  • Coordinates and integrates the work of employees involved in automation operations, systems administration and projects.
  • Formulates and publishes technical guidance and standard operating procedures for IT specialists; and ensures that supplies, equipment and other materials are available.
  • Implements systems security plans, policies and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Performs assignments using standard principles, theories, concepts and methods for systems administration and systems engineering

  • Appointment subject to a satisfactory completion of a security Investigation (ADPII) to include a National Agency Check and Written Inquiries (NACI).
  • Per DoD 8570.301 the IAM-I level certification is required and must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management

OR

One year specialized system installation and programming experience sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in:

  • IT theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods;

  • IT policy and planning concepts and practices;

  • Interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines;

  • Methods, approaches, and practices for managing communities of interest involved in development and implementation of IT architectures, investment planning, e-government, and other IT related legislative and policy initiatives.
